Public Taxis / Tuk Tuks / Motorbikes
Public taxis can be arranged by your hotel for a set price, or hailed on the street. When hailing a Taxi, be aware that most taxis have meters, but do not necessarily engage them. Good practice is to negotiate price or use of the meter before entering the taxi. Cash is usually expected, although many taxis also use QR codes, and some use credit cards for payment.
Tuk Tuks are an experience! It is recommended to agree on a price before boarding the Tuk Tuk. Cash payment is expected, although some tuk tuks also use QR codes.
Public motorbikes can be hailed from the stands that are present outside most major buildings, malls and train stations. Be aware that it is required to wear helmets when riding on motorbikes. Payment is cash only.

Both of these apps work well in Bangkok and you can set up the app to pay cash on arrival rather than use credit cards to pay.
