A pre-conference day of library tours has become a popular component of LKSW, with a large proportion of delegates electing for this additional day. The library tours are fully booked at this point; please email librarians.workshop@gmail.com if you would like to be added to the waitlist.
Participants will be allocated a bus and will see three international school libraries, the National University of Singapore Central Library, and a public (National Library Board of Singapore) library. The bus tours will depart at 9am from the Park Avenue Rochester, and will end at VivoCity. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
Following the tours, there will be a 5pm cocktail reception open to all tour participants at Wine Connection VivoCity. The cocktail party will take place in a shopping centre where there is a bookstore. Delegates will make their own arrangements to return to their accommodation after the welcome cocktails.
Important Note: The library tours may not be appropriate for participants who have mobility challenges and would struggle to alight/disembark from a standard tour bus.
